SUMMARY:Virtual Chocoholics 5k
DESCRIPTION:Our annual Chocoholics 5k will be going ahead this year as a virtual race. You can enter for free on the Run Britain website here. \nGeneral Rules: \n\nDistances must be run and submitted between 00:01 on Good Friday 2nd April 2021 and 23:59 on Easter Monday 5th April 2021.\nOnly one submission per runner will be accepted.\nEmail your submissions (preferably a screen shot from Strava or similar of your time) to Dave Peters by 5pm on Tuesday 6th April 2021\nAthletes must avoid popular running/walking routes at busy times.\nBe considerate to others by keeping a minimum of 2m distance at all times when passing in public.\nAll runs must start and finish at around the same point (200m leeway for GPS errors) – either lapped or out and back.\nAny athlete who does not have a GPS device may run one of the following – Chocoholics 5k route (2017 version i.e. not starting on the track)\, BBQ route or Newtown parkrun route (route which is on paths and not Dolerw Park). Times to be submitted by email and verified by another person.\nRuns must not take place on a track.\nAll Welsh Government guidelines regarding physical distancing and travelling must be strictly adhered to.  Any changes to Welsh Government guidelines/law will be implemented immediately.\nPrizes (Easter eggs) for the first 3 male and first 3 female athletes\nAny prize winner found to be contravening the above rules will have their Easter egg confiscated and eaten by the organiser.\nContact June Jones if you have any questions\n\nHappy running\, and we hope to see you at a non-virtual race soon!
