To all athletes, coaches, parents & guardians,

As the situation surrounding Covid-19 Coronavirus continues to evolve as time goes on we wish to inform you of the club’s position on the matter.

As things currently stand Friday 13th March 2020 the club intends to continue with all usual activities including Senior running groups, Junior track & field sessions and Monday night circuits and will continue to do so whilst local schools and leisure facilities remain open and accessible. Of course this is liable to change as things progress.

In the event that these facilities are not available or a session is unable to go ahead, this will be communicated in the first instance via the club social media channels.

If you begin to display any of the publicised symptoms or come into close contact with someone who has these symptoms we ask that you do not attend any club sessions for the recommended period of isolation as per government guidelines so to minimise the risk of transmission. If you are in any doubt, it is better to be safe than sorry.

Whilst we encourage staying active, the health and wellbeing of all club members and associated family is of utmost importance.

Keep looking out for each other and yourselves.

Yours in sport,

Reece Moles, Lizzie Cockle, Cath Sherlock & Hefin Rowlands – Club Welfare Officers

Paul Beeson – Maldwyn Harriers Club Chairman
