Sunday Striders are part of Maldwyn Harriers, meeting at 8.00am at Newtown car park in Back Lane to explore roads/paths/trails/try out any new routes at your own pace and above all encourage and enjoy company of others.
It is a social run and also the chance to gradually increase your mileage while training for an event if required. The emphasis is the social side. Everyone is welcome whatever your pace. You don’t have to a Maldwyn Harrier to come and join us and there is no charge. All we ask is that you enjoy yourself.
Sometimes we vary the meeting place so that our regular runners do not have to travel and we get to explore new routes.
Men and women are welcome whatever your ability even if you have not been able to run for a while you are most welcome. It is a chance to enjoy yourself while training and being able to run and talk at the same time. If you have the time and energy come and join us.
At the present time we will have 4 different groups for different distances:
Group 1: walking up to 3 miles
Group 2a: walking/jogging 3-4 miles
Group 2b: running 4-6 miles
Group 3: longer distance
ICE details to be worn/bring with you. Any Covid restrictions that in place apply each week and each person is responsible for their own well being with regards to hand washing, social distancing etc.
