Training Sessions

The club is aimed at all ages above 8 years old and structured training is available for all athletes through the qualified coaches within the club on a variety of evenings and at a variety of venues .

Ladies

The Ladies group meets on a Wednesday evening at 6pm from Maldwyn Leisure Centre - you must be 16 or over and able to run 3.5 miles / 5km. Different ability groups are catered for within the session.

The Beginners Walk to Run group meets on a Thursday evening at 6pm from Maldwyn Leisure Centre. For this you must be 16 or over and all abilities are catered for. These courses run for 10 weeks at a time - please check with ladies@maldwynharriers.org.uk or on their Facebook page (Maldwyn Harriers Ladies) for course dates.

Juniors

The juniors meet on Wednesday evenings between 6pm and 8pm with the younger element for the first hour and the older group for the second hour.

Inductions for new members (juniors) will be held at the track on the first Wednesday of each month, commencing on 5th October, at 5:45pm. This will give members a chance to meet the coaches and see what we do - the induction will last approximately half an hour.

Men

The men's group generally meet on agreed date and time and venue.

Sunday Striders

The Striders meet on a Sunday, usually at Maldwyn Leisure Centre, to enjoy running on the road or in the countryside come rain, sun, ice & snow, through mud, puddles and whatever else comes their way, but mainly to have fun! The group is open to men and women of all abilities - there are various distances and the chance to train for events at your own pace. We like to stop for coffee and a chat afterwards if you have time (there is a £1.00 charge for coffee from the machine if you want to stay). Come along and run at your pace - a chance to catch up with friends and if you want to walk you can. There will always be someone behind you and we will have different groups who run/walk/skip along at different distances. Anyone can join - you don't have to be a member. For details of meeting places and times see the Sunday Striders Facebook page.

Sunday Strollers

Maldwyn Harriers Walking group explores the surrounding area at a comfortable pace to suit. The walks are approximately 1 hour with refreshments at the end. Please ensure you bring water, mobile phone, change for a cuppa and please wear comfortable clothing and footwear to walk in. The walks will be led by Lets Walk Cymru Leaders who will support you all the way. The group will recommence in 2017 - keep an eye on their Facebook page for further details.
