Ladies Beginners & Intermediate Courses
The ladies group are holding 4 intermediate running sessions on Thursday nights starting on Thursday 16th March for ladies who can already run 3 miles and want to continue running and building their confidence. For further information please see the ladies page or intermediate poster.
On 27th April the ladies group will be starting their 22nd beginners walk to run course.
The course will run for 10 weeks building from complete beginners to running 5k. The group builds up at a gentle pace and is only advances at the pace of its runners so if you've thought about giving running a go, now might be the time. The course is run by qualified leaders who have introduced many women to running. For further information please see the ladies page or beginners poster.
Open Track and Field Meet
Maldwyn Harriers' early season open meeting is being held on Sunday 9th April between 12 and 4 o'clock.
Events are 100m. 800m, 3000m, long jump, high jump, shot and javelin.

Entries can be accepted on the day is space allows. As this cannot be guaranteed we do recommend you download the entry form and return it (details on entry form).

Please note that some criteria for the championship have changed and you are advised to read the criteria carefully if you are planning to compete.

10 women and 14 men completed the seven events required to challenge for the championships and the full results can be viewed here or on the results page.

The committee are currently making the final decisions on the qualifying races for the 2017 championship series so watch this space for more information.
Annual Awards Evening 2016
The club held it's annual awards evening and Christmas Meal on 10th December.
Dave Manuel and Jan Shanahan were announced our Athletes of the Year.
Martin Copus and Nicola Davies were the overall winners of the club's Championship Series.
Lenny Hughes won the Chairman's Award in recognition of his success this year representing Wales in the V60 cross country in Scotland.
Jacqui Loxam and Emma Leah were the lucky winners of the places in the London Marathon draw.
Many thanks to everyone who has contributed to the club this year, whether as an athlete or as a volunteer.
